Host Publications Announces the Publication of João Almino's 'The Five Seasons of Love'

Brazilian writer and diplomat João Almino is the author of the acclaimed Brasília Trilogy, which is comprised of the Novels Ideas on Where to Spend the End of the World, Samba-Enredo, and The Five Seasons of Love (published in Portuguese by Editora Record, and in Spanish by Alfaguara). In Veja magazine, Carlos Graieb writes, "If Brasília's rock was the work of a generation, Brasília's fiction is the work of a single man: the writer João Almino."
Translator Elizabeth Jackson is Visiting Assistant Professor of Portuguese at Wesleyan University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Portuguese language and literature from the University of Texas at Austin. She is co-translator of Patricia Galvão's 1933 novel Industrial Park, and teaches in the Yale Summer Session in Brazil.
